Living with one is normal. Knowing what to do with it is another matter.
An impressive form does not make its host skilful, courageous or kind. An unassuming one does not make a life unimportant.
Human choice and consequence
The person
still matters.
An Index can change the possibilities. It cannot remove the work. Training, concentration, pain and fatigue remain part of the story.
So do family, money, love, class, institutions and the ordinary demands of getting through a day.
The Index does not decide who you become.
You do.
